Halloween. This very special day for all furs, mostly for the small ones, has officially started in this part of the furry world at near late afternoon. Cubs could be heard starting to fill the streets, laughing and having fun while they are asking for sweets in the nearby houses. In a little house, in the middle of the suburbs, certain kitten is looking at the window while getting ready with his costume as a great aventure is around the corner. [[Next]]

Darki is a white kitten with tiger stripes and a few cougar spots. Is so excited and nervous at the same time. Still kinda new around this inmense city full of surprises and furries of all kinds. Halloween is one of his favorite dates since he loves sweets and could do a few things that in other days he would be too embarrassed to even give a try, like his new costume. Thinking about one of his best friends, the little feline decided to dress up as a wolf, in this case a white wolf with a few stripes that matched the ones that are on his face which is the only part that is uncovered. The costume is practically a pijama, even the wolf tail covered completely the cub's tail. Looking at himself made him blush while he is making sure everything is in place. With his tail inside the costume's tail, he proceed to move it and is satisfied with the result. He look at the mirror once again and thought he looks silly but still liked it and loved how fluffy it felt. [[Next ]]

The cub felt covered everywhere including his cat ears that are covered by the costume's larger ears. Is like a big and warm hug and he love it. Grabs his halloween orange bag for store candies. As ready as he could be, proceeds to the main door to get outside. Takes a deep breath and start walking. [[Start the candy search adventure]]

There is lots cubs walking around and asking for candy, mostly in groups. There is some parents and other adults around. The sun over the mountains on the horizont illuminates the sky with orange light. The houses started to light up. The houses next door are more near and for some reason less crowded. Reach the first house and notice was built on a higger level so he have to climb some stairs but not big deal. A female grey wolf comes out. At first her expression is sad but then she notices Darki's costume. She don't says a word but gives a recomforting smile and put a few sweets in his halloween bag. ''Darki'': "T-thank you miss" manages to say in a shy tone. She pets Darki's head for a second, making him blush a little, and then the grey wolf go back inside her home. The kitten hopes she is ok. Darki return to the sidewalk. From there notices that there is also a few others that their costumes are also another animal, few but enough for make him feel some relief of not be the only one like that. Is time for go to the next house and get more candy. ''You got Butter Caramels'' [[Next House]]

The kitten in a wolf costume reach the next home, which like the other one, is on a higher ground level than the street so he climb the stairs and knock the door. After a moment the door opens. A tall, muscular, very hairy and nice builded folf comes out and is shirtless, using only shorts. His fur is dark red with white fur on his torso and belly, blue eyes, big paws and a large fluffy tail. Darki is amazed at the big and handsome figure in front of him and for a moment forgot what to say. The adult on the other hand smiles at the cub. ''Adult Folf'': "Hey there little fella, I guess you looking for candy right?" Darki blink a few times, finally reacting with a nod. ''Adult Folf'': "And it seems you likes wolfs" ''Darki'': "Uh huh" say blushing a little. This makes the folf smile more. He go for the bowl of candy and put some in Darki´s bag. The cub notices how his bag started to gain weight and react at the adult with a smile. ''Darki'': "Thank you mister!" ''Adult Folf'': "You're welcome little one and nice costume, I believe it fits you" The flof proceeds to pet the kitten over his head, feeling both the cub and the costume. Darki closes his eyes as is enjoying the touch. ''Darki'': "M-mew... I mean woof... n-no I mean..." felt like he ruined the moment and looks at the floor. ''Adult Folf'': "Hehe, you are cute". The flof grabs his chin to make Darki face him. Looking that the adult smiles at him makes the young one to cheer up again. ''Adult Folf'': "You have a lovely smile. Is all alright, ok? Cmon and go on, you need to keep going to grab more candy in other houses before it runs out unless you wanna stay and chat for a while with this guy haha". He is right, there is no time to waste. Also it seems like the day light is running out faster than expected and he only visited two houses until now. ''Darki'': "Thank you again mister" ''Adult Folf'': "If you need something and I am around, you can count on me little one" With this the kitten left while another group was aproaching the home. Darki check the houses on the other side of the street but looks like he got there too late, there is nothing more to give and cubs already leaving this part of the block and moving to other places for get candy. He have to move too. Returns from where he came and goes to the corner of the sidewalk that is near the flof´s house. [[Reach the left corner of the block]]

''Darki'': "I... well... I could stay a little". It seems this took the adult flof for surprise but he gives him a greater smile. ''Adult Folf'': "Is that so? Very well, sit here if you want to" Darki blushing sits beside the big and hairy flof. Looking that the cub is very shy, he start the conversation. ''Adult Folf'': "Well I guess should present myself, my name is Cornelius but you can call me Corner. What's your name little one?" ''Darki'': "I... I am Darki" ''Adult Folf'': "Very well, nice to meet you Darki" The adult offers his paw and they shake them. Darki at this realizes how much bigger are the adult paws, covered easily his paw and part of his arm. The is so big that the cub looks like a baby in comparison. ''Adult Folf'': "I have to say, never saw you around here before. Are you new?" ''Darki'': "Y-yes, been living here a few days already b-but I don't go out much" ''Adult Folf'': "Then welcome to the neighborhood" ''Darki'': "Thanks a lot, b-but is only temporal, I'm not sure if will stay around here forever". This gave the adult a few things to think. He realized the cub's situation. ''Adult Folf'': "I understand, know how is be like that" Then Cornelius pets once again Darki "You will like it here, even if is only temporal, just there is a few places you maybe should not go, at least at night". Darki is about to ask something but a group of cubs looks like is waiting at the stairs. ''Adult Folf'': "It seems like I got more clients to attend, you should go now, maybe Halloween finish until midnight but the candies don't last that long". [[Oh right! The candy search! Must keep going.]]

There is less cubs walking around on this zone and no more candy around. There is still some adults in the front of their houses. Dawn has started, the sun is getting behind the mountains, still illuminates the sky with orange light. Darki don't know around but has to decide where to go. He goes to the north, towards the great noice of a crowd. Nothing special at the sides that are mostly walls but when reach the intersection he see a big crowd of cubs with different costumes around making a large line where they getting candy from a truck in the middle of the street between the blocks. Looks like the houses around here are still giving candy but is hard to reach them. The street is almost completely full, so much people moving around and conversations everywhere. It seems there is a police officer here that is watching over everybody. As he looked around started to get convinced that this is the place with more candy on the suburbs. Not wanting to lose anymore time, go to the lines of the houses to get candy. After an hour he managed to get candy from 3 houses. Looks like the rest finally got empty of it and what's left is the superline for get candy of the big truck. There isnt much else he can do now so he go to look for the end of the line but he is so little, so it seems will take long for find it. Decide to go forward, to the west of the suburbs, hoping that less cubs around means more candy. This time he check both sides of the street and there is a few houses still giving candy. Goes forward once again to the next block and lucky to find two houses that still giving candy and he being the last one on getting them in both cases. After this, notices that the block is getting empty. The ones that was giving candy are returning inside of their homes and is the same with the previous block. Is starting to get dark but knows that Halloween for the kids keep going at night so still don't have to worry much about it and needs to find more houses with candy. There is no cubs around on this zone. Not far looks like there is more houses but there is no light on more than half of them. The sun is almost completely behind the mountains, still illuminates the sky with some orange light but is getting darker. There is a light at the middle of the next block maybe could give a try or go back and try luck on the more crowded zones around his home. [[Keep forward]] [[Return, is more safe]]

His curiosity and desire for more sweets gets him to reach that part of the next block but also see in the distance of the following blocks neglected houses and buildings with much less illumination. He focus again on the light that got his attention in the first place and notices a big and muscled deer with big horns, full clothed and right now looks like is distracted with something so he didnt noticed the cub nearby. The adult is really big which makes Darki a little worried, but look at the almost full bowl of candy on the table in front of that big guy. The kitten made it so far right now so he had to decide what he gonna do. [[Ask candy to the big deer]] [[Continue towards the darker zone (Not available yet)]] [[Return, is more safe]]

After thinking for a moment, Darki decides to go back from where he came, it was getting kinda creepy there anyways. He returns to his block, looking some cubs moving around. It seems the big noices of a crowd could still be heard on the next block at the north. Later gave a look at the now more scary looking other path that is at the south as it was getting darker, the houses are bigger there. Finally he see the flof´s home that is light up like the other houses around here, it seems a lot cubs started a line for get candy there and he cant see the flof around, maybe is busy. Darki gets near, but not too much, to the adult deer that looks like still didn't noticed him while is focused on something that illuminates his big face, maybe light from a cellphone or laptop. The kitten try to say something for get the adult's attention. ''Darki'': "E-excuse me sir" With just that, the deer was looking at him like if was ready to punch someone and is completely silent. ''Darki'': "H-hi... I... emmm... trick-or-treat?" The adult didn't said a word but now put a serious face instead of killing face, yet still made Darki more nervous. ''Darki'': "I'm sry if I bothered, I will go n..." The big and muscled deer interrupts him. ''Adult Deer'': "Why are you so far from the rest of the groups? Also ¿Why you comming towards these parts? Cubs should not be around here, it's the limit line for any around, specially your age" ''Darki'': "I'm s-sry m-mister, didn't knew about that limits". The deer looked at him kinda puzzled but still serious. Darki felt like is in trouble and looks like is about to cry. At this, the deer relax his expression. ''Adult Deer'': "How is that you didn't know?" ''Darki'': "n-new here" manages to say. ''Adult Deer'': "Ok, I can understand that, but still... didn't your parents told you to not get around here? They should know better" ''Darki'': "I... I don't" Darki stayed quiet for a moment "I don't have anyone around" Tried to be brave and for moments he managed to accomplish it but this time his shell got broken and now he can't stop sobbing. ''Adult Deer'': "Oh" The deer got the message and felt like he fuck it. [[Continue]]

In this mega metropolis is common that there is cubs that are on their own for different reasons. Keep with their lives without adults looking after them. The orphanages got full and even that the city keeps growing, wasn't enough for be able to build new spaces for everyone in time so the city selects some for get them homes that are already build and available and helps them in what is possible. Cubs shouldn't be totally underestimated since a lot been always like this. Even that of course most of them are obviously immature, lots manages to keep forward with their practically independent lives, sometimes even better than a few of the adults. The adult deer felt compasion for the little one and got the bowl and hand it over to the cub. ''Adult Deer'': "Suit yourself, I dont know whats in the bowl, just had them for keep myself awake". The kitten keeps sobbing reach for the bowl an grabs something from it, felt like some kind of bar but didnt looked completely what it was. ''Adult Deer'': "What's your name?" Ask the muscled deer to the cub in wolf's costume. ''Darki'': "D-Darki". ''Adult Deer'': "Very well. There is someone you know around?" ''Darki'': "No. The only one I ever talk to here is the fluffy guy on the tall house just a bit ago" ''Adult Deer'': "I know him, nice guy, you should stay around there. ¿Why you came all over here?" ''Darki'': "B-because..." Takes a second and manages to relax to give a proper answer "I didn't thought it be a big distance and been searching for houses that gave candy". ''Adult Deer'': "Ok. Still you shouldn't got separated from the rest" Both of them got quiet for a second until they noticed something, it got dark. The sun isn't around anymore and the night took over. ''You got a Caisid ? bar'' [[Continue ]]

Somehow is nightime already. The streets around them are almost completely dark, with just a few light posts. ''Adult Deer'': "You need to go back, is better that you be around others, is not safe here without me being vigilant". Now this time the cub is the one that got puzzled. The deer noticed this and answered without wasting time. ''Adult Deer'': "These parts are dangerous" point towards the darker streets "And are too near to the other houses with more... normal people. Things had happened so I decided to stay in this zone to prevent bad stuff happening again". This made Darki think of the great deer like some kind of guardian. Now focusing on the topic at hand, the first two blocks are dark with very little light while the blocks more near his home had light completely fine. This means have to walk 2 blocks in the almost creepy darkness... in Halloween. Not really big distance but still scary for a little and timid cub like him. What should he do? ''Darki'': "C-could I stay w-with you sir?" The great deer got truly surprised at this. Used to scare and face other beings, specially cubs, but for the first time in so long a little one wanted to spend time with him. ''Adult Deer'': "Why you want to stay with me?" ''Darki'': "Because I'm scared, you are the first one spend so long time chatting with since i been around here and also i think you are interesting sir". The muscled deer didn't believed the last part but waited for the cub to point his reasons. ''Darki'': "M-mister, you are facing scary things, you are brave and doing something that helps others... wish I could be a little more brave like you". Any doubt got erased after these words. For the first time, the deer's face got totally relaxed and finally could notice how small and vulnerable the kitten is. Surfaced feelings that he thought lost long ago. Darki covered his eyes with his 'wolf paws' sobbing and scared. Then feels being pushed and when see that the deer is at his side, covering his back with one of his big hands. ''Adult Deer'': "Stay close to me and try to not make much sounds for the a while, understood?" Darki nods at this. The deer get into his chair again, dragging the kitten with him at his side. Noticed that Darki is being obedient as he is instructed. After a moment he grab the cub carefully and lift him like a little baby, sitting him on his lap. ''Adult Deer'': "Is going to be a very long night, you will need be comfortable" Then the deer grabs the bowl of candy and put it near the kid. "You can grab some if you want just don't eat too much or you going to get nightmares". The cub after grab a candy from the bowl, he realizes there is something he wanted to know. ''Darki'': "M-mister deer, can i ask you something?" ''Adult Deer'': "What it is?" Darki: "What's your name?" ''Adult Deer'': "Grondel... but to be honest, I prefer more when you call me Mister Deer" Darki giggles at this. ''Darki'': "Ok Mister Deer" The adult then surprise him with a little compliment. Mister Deer: "By the way, your costume looks good" [[The night goes on]]

Darki decided he has to return home but even that was a short distance, still is scary. ''Darki'': "C-could you please come with me?" Darki ask worried at the Deer which though about it for a moment. The adult deer looked annoyed for a moment but relaxed quickly and tried to answer as polite he could. ''Adult Deer'': "I'm sry little one but I really must stay here. Even right now I need keep an eye about everything around on these streets". What now? [[Ask if he could watch over him from there]] [[Start the way back on your own]]

Darki has to return home but even that was a short distance, still is scary. ''Adult Deer'': "Just keep going until reach light and dont go again towards dark zones" The Deer instructed. After take a breath, Darki start to walk towards the darkness. ''Adult Deer'': "Hey" The Deer gets the cub attention, making him stop "You're forgeting this" the adult deer hands the candy bag to the cub, then grabs the bowl and puts some sweets in there. ''Adult Deer'': "There you go, the rest are for me because I need keep watching around". At this Darki, moves his tail on happiness, is almost as look a dog getting excited. ''Darki'': "Thank you a lot. Goodbye mister" It was time. There is 200 meters, is not that much Darki tries to say to himself. [[Start walking ]]

After thinking about it, mister deer accepts. ''Adult Deer'': "Very well, I will watch you until you reach where there is light and people around" ''Darki'': "T-thanks mister" Then Darki hugs the deer´s leg being the only thing he can reach of him. ''Adult Deer'': "Just keep going and don't stop" There is 200 meters, isn't that much Darki tries to say to himself. [[Start walking]]

Hours passed. They stayed there for a long time. The adult deer checking for times something at a monitor that Darki dont know what it is, but mostly looking around the street. Sometimes he had to get up, leaving the kitten on the chair and check around but never too far from the cub and always where he can look at him and later return to his place, lifting the little cub and put him again on his lap. It is surprising that there is a crowd not far from here and even so there is almost no sounds around. Also is surprising for the adult deer that a cub could stay so quiet and following instructions. So used that the ones of his age makes so much noice and even causing troubles but this one is different and appreciate it. They keep company to eachother on this lonely and dark zone. Darki only took a few of the small candies of the bowl instead of the big ones, probably for leave them to the adult that needs bigger things to chew on. For moments, Mister Deer got on more alert, getting the cub's attention and also looking around but gets calmed by the adult petting and caressing him over his costume. [[11:00 pm]]

After 10 meters Darki looks back at mister deer which is also looking at him. Darki is so nervous. Proceed forward again while looking around trying to see the floor but the only lights around are the one over the adult deer and the posts and houses at 2 blocks away. [[Keep walking]]

Reach 50 meters, Darki once again look back towards the adult while still walking, trying to not stop like the adult told him to do. [[Keep walking ]]

100 meters, halfway. Darki gets too much nervous and stop on the corner of the sidewalk. See towards the adult again that as promised he keeps an eye on him until be sure he is safe. He have to cross the street for keep forward but this part is getting him too nervous. He must move to reach safety, there aren't cars to be heard around, not even in the distance but even so... isn't supposed to see around everytime he cross the street? [[Keep walking ]] [[Look at both sides of the streets (Not available yet)]]

Darki makes a quick look at both sides to make sure no cars comming and cross the street quickly. 150 meters, almost there. Only a little more for reach safety. As he advanced, gave a look at the houses around here that also are in bad conditions. How he couldn't saw that properly before? Still he was so nervous and wanted to stop again and turn around but also he wanted to show bravery, after all sometimes appears some kind of reward when you try to surpass your fears or turn around with the chance of annoy the adult with your cobardy. [[Keep going ]] [[Turn around]]

Darki is too scared to even try to look. [[Keep walking ]]

Darki decides just obey what he was told to and keep walking towards the light. He is almost there. Darki is trapped and covered by a dark matter. it gets inside Darki's wolf custome while covering the little cub´s face. The costume start to get darker from inside as the surprised kitten tries to escape. When the costume is totally covered, there isn't sigh of fight anymore. Everything is quiet for a moment until the costume slowly gets up and after another moment start to walk backwards. It stop again and turn around to start walking again more far from the light and towards the darkness. The dark wolf costume goes inside a building, following a halfway and reach inside a room. Inside, at the corner of the room, certain muscled deer lay on the floor unconscious and nude. His body is completely dark and purple, looks like it's going to melt and is being held by slimy irregular tentacles which some of them appears to merge with him. The costume gets above the body and opens up in half, showing a trapped and darkened and naked kitten cub by many dark tentacles that been molesting him and start to push him towards the deer. The muscled body then start to melt even more where the kitten is being pushed. Muffled sounds could be heard from both the kitten and the deer while a cocoon start to form around them, trapping and sealing them as is forcing them both adult and little cub merge together and make them become one. [[Next.]]

Darki look back again at the adult deer. He isn't there, the light is shut. Only darkness remains. Sounds, Panic, Horror. [[Something is after you]]

Run. [[Run at the left]] [[Run towards the light]] [[Run at the right (blocked)]]

Darki noticed in time a strange moving dark blot on the pavement in the middle of the street, waiting for trap him. The poor kitten is so scared, for a moment dont know what to do but then listen the sounds of a crowd at two blocks from there so takes the street at his left and run as fast as he can. He keep running without looking behind. This part has some ilumination so he is able to look at what is in front. Reachs the corner and go to the right. There is some furries around here and total illumination, even so he keeps running. Darki finally reach the big crowd conformed by adults and so many cubs. The kitten tired but finally feeling safe fell and start to cry. Looks like this got the attention of a police officer that was watching over as request for the big size of the crowd. At this other adults paid attention when the officer got near Darki, mostly when they started to talk. 20 minutes later some parents started to get their kids to their homes as rumor started to expand quickly and was know that more patrols are on their way to the suburbs. There is still no explanation for the lack of energy at certain zones of the suburbs that ended abandoned by their owners which some also dissapeared over time. The recent list of missing people include a local vigilant, a pair of adult residents and a few underage cubs. There was one survivor of these events and probably key witness since is the one who told the police about the disappearance of Mr. Grondel, the local vigilant and the only clues are a destroyed bowl, the candy bag of the survivor that he left behind and liquids of doubtful origin mixed with semen. Though about what to get and gotthe idea of try the last candy he got before try the line to the truck: The Mango Popsicle.
